As The Sun was born as a natural sound evolution of the same band, Euthanasia. The line-up has remained the same since 2005. In 2006 was released “Positive”, the first self-produced ep recorded at the “Hatestudio”, which is subjected to favourable criticism by the webzines of the record industry. In 2008 the line-up changes again when Cino and Emanuele join the band. Their joining, in a moment in which the sound of the band was changing, contributes to the search of melody, technique and variety, both artistic and musical. After months spent composing new songs, putting off the live shows, six new tracks of melodic death metal, technical and emotional, were recorded at the “Hatestudio”, these songs mark a change of course towards the past, from hence, the need to change the name in As The Sun. This name recalls the idea of the sun like something unreachable, distant, isolated. But also perfect and sublime, a warm heart beating in the sky. www.asthesun.it www.myspace.com/weareasthesun
