Hereby i present to you Botanist - the avantgarde and esoteric Black Metal project from the woods around San Francisco, USA.
Botanist is planning their second European Tour to promote their new album"The Shape of He to Come".
After seven full-length recorded albums, an equal number of shorter recordings and plenty of diverse press reviews like
“[Botanist’s] kind of technophobic creativity is understandable given the sharp, visible disconnection between the hi-tech industry's utopian rhetoric and the widening inequity in its backyard [...]” (SF Weekly),
it is needlees to say that the band is already well established in the scene of the US-Black Metal.
The content of Botanist’s songs are a combination of scientific botanical empiricism and the poetic, romantic perception of someone who is deeply moved by the forms of the primordial, mysterious aspect of the natural world.
