Cuarteto Cedron was formed by Juan Cedron in Buenos-Aires in 1964. However, they didn't become a proper quartet (and didn't record under that name) until 1970.
The ensemble toured in Europe (in Spain and in France), left Argentina in 1974 and has been living in Paris.
The musicians do not only draw from a classical repertoire but have own compositions in the very original tango style. The double bass and the violin are carrying the arrangements while the deep voice of Juan Cedron remains the expressive reference.
Cuarteto Cedron has developed a unique style, originated from a rich tradition of aesthetic and ethical values and from the inheritance of Buenos Aires in the sixties.
