With an all-star line-up featuring Jeffrey 'Jellybean' Alexander (Jon Cleary's Absolute Monster Gentlemen), John Gros (formerly George Porter, Jr.'s Runnin' Pardners), Jason Mingledorff (formerly Galactic), June Yamagishi (Wild Magnolias), and alternating bassists Peter V. (formerly Cyril Neville) and Marc Pero (formerly Func Haus), Papa Grows Funk has grown from a weekly Monday night jam-session at New Orleans' Maple Leaf Bar into a national touring act with a coast to coast fan base.
