"I was born in the south of Sweden what seems like a long, long time ago. I was also born with an old soul. While my friends were listening to heavy metal bands I was more into Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash and that was pretty weird where I grew up. I started out playing guitar and piano and I was my own teacher, I basically listened to records and tried to pick up what I could hear. I played in a couple of bands growing up but it was never for me, I always felt I was a solo artist. I started playing in small clubs when I was around sixteen years old and I also began writing my own material around that time. If someone would ask me what my songs are about I would have to say that they are about variations of human longing, alienation, sorrow and happiness but I hope my sense of humor can also be found there. When it comes to music-nowadays I listen to a lot of blues singers like Mississippi John Hurt and Lightin' Hopkins and a lot of country artists such as Hank Williams and the great Towes Van Zandt. Dylan, of course, has never left me. I have been on the road for a big part of my life, playing solo or with a band, sometimes playing support act to artists like Ryan Adams, Mary Gauthier, Dr John and John Hiatt. I especially enjoyed my trips with Mary. I got a new record out now called "Driftwood-the 309 sessions". I got an award from the city of Orebro in Sweden that gave me the oppurtunity to stay in a hotel for two weks writing songs and then record them. Driftwood is a result of that stay. I'm really looking forward to come and play for you. I've been playing all over but never in Italy. So come out and watch and I'll put up a good show for you. http://rootsy.nu/
