Born 2010, according to the need to find a band which was supposed not to be part of only a single music scene. Our first aim was to reach harmony among band members, having good times together and understanding each other in every life situation. Background fixed, we decided to create an only-girl band, maybe the only way to keep our initial purposes! Back to the origins, the band members were Laura-voice, Angelica-drums, Jex-bass. We started to reharse, trying to understand if we could get on well with each other, and above all, what kind of music we were going to play. Each of us listens to a great variety of music and we have vast and sometimes different tastes, so we tried to bring out something we could have in common. After some time, Silvia joined the band as guitarist. We started to practice some covers and look for more interesting riffs. At this point we realized what we preferred to play together without necessarily talking about a specific genre and its limits, but sharing our tastes and ideas. The result is a slow, obscure music which could convey all the evil and discomfort we suffer in our everyday life. The month after, Giulia (Miss Thrash) also joined the band as a second guitarist, but she stayed just for a few sessions. Another girl called Giulia took her place later and kept on playing with the band. It was in that period that we eventually reached harmony among us and started composing songs rapidly. Only the distance forces us to slow down a bit, as we live in 4 different cities: Rome, Modena, Bologna and Viterbo. Our first demo, a printed digipack cd including 7 tracks, was released on February 25th. On March 14th the american label Razorback contacted the band. They offered us to produce our upcoming record! We also started to play gigs. At the end of 2012 the guitarist Silvia left the band and was replaced by Elvira. The collaboration with Elvira didn't last long: Samantha joined the band in march 2013. So the current line up is: Jex: bass; Laura: vocals; Giulia and Samantha: guitars; Angelica: drums. So at present we are working on new songs, engaging ourselves to let our new record come out as soon as possible, and doing the best we can to transmit our everyday sickness! http://saturninewitches.bandcamp.com/
