Yo, finally summer! That must be what Vienna-based Italian five-piece The Artificial Harbor thought when they wrote their song „Summer, YO!“ (which is available as a free download on their homepage). Nevertheless, it doesn’t really sound like summer. More like one of those wonderfully mystical autumn days on which the whole world seems to disappear in fog. Dark clouds roll in while an atmospheric organ enwraps the soft vocals of guitarist Julian Angerer. Suddenly, after almost two minutes, the sun does come through as the rest of the band joins in with a folky beat. Unusual song structures like this characterise almost all songs by The Artificial Harbor. They live off the contrast between quiet and loud. Indie-Pop is enriched with Folk and psychedelic elements. When played live it gets a special twist, as the band demonstrated at living room sessions as well as big festival“ (Reeperbahnfestival, 2013). www.theartificialharbor.com https://soundcloud.com/theartificialharbor https://www.facebook.com/theartificialharbor/timeline
