Behind the name “Calma” are hidden Carlo Battistini and Alessandro Sensini, two guys bound together by a strong friendship and love for vinyls, Chicago house and Detroit techno. The name Calma reminds the state of mind of these two artists towards music and towards what music gives them.
In 2004 they buy a second hand console and start mixing and proposing themselves in private parties.
In 2011 the propose a new project: a live performance, in which Carlo manages drums and percussions instead Alessandro plays synthesizers and all the melodic pattern of the groove, in a show in which one is essential for the other.
The chance of making a live performance represents for them a music evolution, a new impulse in searching innovative genres and styles characterized by the use of classic instruments, vocal sessions and acoustic “home-made” experiments. All this makes their music for sure unique and dynamic, something different, difficult to catalogue it an single musical style.
